 Back in 1970

Ed Glassman opened his first menswear store in the 1500 block of Sansom street and now, fifty-three years later, a new Wayne Edwards has re-opened on the 1700 block of Sansom Street.

Wayne Edwards Workshop has upsized from a second-floor atelier to a first-floor location with more than double the space. Our focus is not only on custom clothing and shirts but also on great sportswear and shoes.

The back part of the store is where the custom clothing and shirts are presented.

It’s the part of the store where Individual creativity and artisanship have a home. Where the handwork and the richness of the fabrics can be appreciated. It’s where the magic behind the curtains happens.

Stomachs become slimmer, shoulders find their balance and collars take on the responsibility of framing the entire face.

The front part of the store features collections from:

Fedeli Cashmere, Finamore, Moorer outerwear, Edward Green shoes, and more.

If you think that appearance counts at Wayne Edwards Workshop, you’d be right.

We worked with Philadelphia Interior designer Michael Shannon to create an environment that is warm and inviting. Wayne Edwards Workshop doesn’t feel like a conventional store. It’s more along the lines of being at a friend’s house and hanging out, while getting some great clothing and conversation
